- Does extracting audio re-encode it?
- Yes, unless the source track is already OGG, in which case it is copied out untouched. Going from one lossy format to another loses a little, so pick the highest bitrate you are willing to store.
- My MP4 has several audio tracks. Which one do I get?
- The default track unless you choose another. Multi-track files list what they contain so you can pick.
- Why pick OGG here?
- Choose Ogg when you serve audio from your own pages and want a royalty-free codec.
- How big will the OGG be?
- Roughly bitrate times duration. At 192kbps that works out around 1.4MB per minute.
